Double Trouble!!!

 34 weeks
I just thought the babies needed a picture with Santa! :)

It was down to the last week. My hands and feet wouldn't stop swelling. And I hurt EVERYWHERE! I woke up in the middle of the night and could not fall back asleep. Just one of those nights, I thought. Finally I was laying in bed playing cards on my phone when I had a sharp pain on my right side.(aka Ashlyn) Well my water broke. I was trying to think of who to call, but it was 5 in the morning. Even though I had a ton of offers, I just felt bad to wake anyone up. And it's a good thing I just decided to bring them with us... Or else Ashlyn and Jordyn would have been born in the car!!!  I thought I had at least 4 hours till the babies would even come anyways. We loaded up in the suburban, and then called Tyler to tell him we are going to the hospital. He packed up his stuff and drove home from Indiana.

In the 20 min drive to the hospital a lot of damage was done. Luckily it was early enough that there was no traffic. My mother in law was speeding most the way there, and I was trying to give directions in between contractions. :) The whole time I'm thinking, "Really? You couldn't wait just one more day till Tyler's here?"  We pull up to the emergency room and I got out and went to the front desk, told them that my contractions are about 1 & 1/2 minutes apart, he puts me in a wheel chair and literally runs me to labor and delivery. Once there I told them, "I think its time!"  Sure enough, Ashlyn was ready. They rush me into the operating room. (just in case there is a problem.)  Within a few minutes the doctor comes running in just in time to catch Ashlyn. And 5 minutes later came Jordyn. got to the hospital right after 6:00am and Ashlyn was born at 6:24. What an experience. Everyone was amazed at how big they are for twins, let alone 35 weeks! It was insane how fast it happened. Don't get me wrong... I love having an epidural with Tripp and Kassidy, but being able to get up and walk right after was awesome. Oh and the nurses kept saying how beautiful my toes looked.(Thanks Cassie Goodman, you do good work)

Having Jorydn in the NICU has been a different experience. I know my case wasn't as bad as others, but I still felt so useless. Not being able to snuggle and hold her. Only able to put my hand on her leg, or arm. I just wanted to hold her more than anything. Ashlyn was perfectly healthy. Which I think might have made it a little easier for me I think. I still had a new born to take care of and it took some of the stress and worry away. I think I might have died if I couldn't have held either of them!

A big blessing is having my mother-in-law here.  She has been able to take care of the kids and everything else so that Tyler and I can focus on the babies. And I know I could not have made it through the pass month, let alone the pass week without her!

Jordyn put up a big fight anytime they did anything to her. Reminded me of when they did ultrasounds and she just never cooperated. :) The first time I went in to see her, the nurses told me that everyone was dying to know... How big was her sister? For the NICU she was pretty big, and to be a twin... They were amazed. The poor little girl had red marks all over from the tape. And bruises everywhere they stuck her with a needle. :( I couldn't wait to love on her without the dark vader mask on. I just kept saying to myself, "Soon it will be over and we will all be home."

Tripp loved the twins while they where in my tummy, but after... He was a little freaked out. He has defiantly come around though. :)

Kass of course is the biggest helper ever!

Ashlyn was trying to eat her or something

I just think this picture is stinking cute!

Christmas.. SAY WHAT?

Call me crazy, but I love Christmas!! And these twins gave me an excuse to put up my tree before Tyler leaves. I guess I could have waited till he gets back at Thanksgiving, but first of all that way to late, I like my tree up at least a week before. And second, if I was to wait, the babies would want to come early! As a result the Christmas tree gets to be up for 2 months! :) Im ok with that! Kassidy was very excited!
Quick knock the ball I'm hiding out of my shirt!
Had to have her little tree of course.

In other news....  Kassidy had her Halloween party today due to school being canceled thanks to hurricane Sandy! I was going in to help, but when the date got switched, times didn't work because I had my doctors appointment. :( Darn it all! I tried to change it, and nothing was open. I was even tempted not to go to it, cause personally I'm so sick of being at the doctors. Tyler wouldn't hear of it. But luckily Grandma Kelly is here to save the day. She was able to go and Kassidy loved every minute of it.

The community has a scarecrow contest every year. This was the whole kindergartens. They where learning about recycling, so everyone brought in bags, and they each made a few cookies for the cookie monster. They also won this year. I thought it was so cute!

Halloween

 Little Miss Red
I practiced once on Kassidy to see kinda what the wolf was going to look like. Tripp liked the idea, but wouldn't let me paint his face. Also he hated his tail! Wore it for about 20 minutes. Since I couldn't find anything for me to be the grandma, and Tyler to be the Axe Man,  I decided we just needed to do something else.

Kassidy loved being Little Red Riding Hood, but kinda wanted to be a basketball player with Tripp and Dad!

And of course... Would it be Halloween without pumpkin carving??? You never see the old school pumpkin face. Growing up all I ever did was the triangle eyes & nose with a grin. Now the pumpkins are so extreme!! Thank goodness that both my kids wanted easy Jack-o-lanterns! Kassidy was able to do almost all of it by herself!

32 weeks

32 weeks and the belly measures 41! What are you kidding me?
Being pregnant has its pros and cons. Well the pro of course to being pregnant is that you get to have a little bundle of joy(in my case 2) in your arms after living through the 9 months of cons. I do love it when you can finally feel the baby move, but when you have twins.. It's gets a little crazy in there.

Sunday I was getting ready for church, and none of my shoes would fit... I ended up wearing some flats, but by the time I got to church they where cutting of circulation! I guess it's flip flops in November.
It feels weird about setting their names, because Kassidy was switched 3 days before we had her.. But I needed names, just in case they decide to show up while Tyler is in Indiana... Baby A is going to be named Ashlyn. She is the calm one in my belly and doesn't cause much trouble. Except for that little detail of constant pushing on my pelvic bone!  Baby B will be named Jordyn. She is the one that is always on the move, and she likes to grind right into my hip. All day long... she never sleeps, or maybe she just sleep walks. Defiantly gives the doctors a run for their money. Every time I'm hooked up to any machine or ultrasound, she kicks or punches it. They always have the hardest time finding her heart rate, or at least keeping it on her long enough to get it. It will be interesting to see if that's how their personalities are or if they do a total switch..
Oh and another con... My memory has gone out the window! I forget anything and everything. I left an amazing carmel apple on the top of my car and drove off of course. Then just the other day I took chicken out and left it in the microwave till I found it the next day. Gross right? Anyways, let the count down begin! 4 more weeks!!!

The Pumpkin Patch!

The pumpkin patch is always SO FUN!! I love watching Kassidy.  And this year Tripp had just as much fun. Tyler couldn't get him out of the sandbox. (Gross, I hate sandboxes!) We have went every year since we moved to Ohio, and next year I'm sure gonna miss it.
The wagon ride is always a big deal.
Tractors everywhere! Tripp had a blast.
This place has the coolest slides ever. I always go down them, but decided maybe not this year... :)
Kassidy and her little friends Hannah & Ellie
Picking the corn in the corn maze. Some corn tastes sweet when its fresh, but that corn was freaking NASTY!

 Grandpa would be so proud!
Yes he wanted to jump off
Thanks Tyler for cutting off the top of my head! At least the belly made it in there though.
This is his new smile, you always have to say cheese right?
 His favorite tractor
We always love it when daddy is able to come and hang out with us. (I think I enjoy it the most though, cause then he gets to run around chase crazy Kassidy and Tripp!)
This picture took like 5 minutes, cause Tripp couldn't decide which pumpkin he wanted to sit on. Weird kid.
The whole time we where there I kept smelling funnel cakes, but for 5 bucks... No thank you. Don't worry, I made them when we got home. And they where amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 weeks, Cookies & Commando!

Im 30 weeks now! WOOHOO! Only about 6-6.5 weeks left!!! I can do it. (At least thats what I keep telling myself.) The girls are growing great, they measure right around 3.5 pounds, and as of now both babies are head down. Lets hope they stay that way so I don't need a C-setion! We have a handful of names picked out, but nothing set in stone. I wish I just had their names picked so I could stop calling them A & B!
Halloween/ Holidays = Yummy cookies!! Tripp lasted about 2 cookies. (ate both)
Kass always loves to help in the kitchen. And decorating cookies is her pride and joy. My favorite part was when Tyler came in and asked if he could eat the good ones... (I laughed!) After being married 6.5 years you think he would know the answer to that question.. Next he asked dead serious, "Why do I always get the rejected ones?" BAHA!!!!
Last but not least... My commando son! So gross!  I didn't know they started that young! Tripp has hit the stage of not letting me help him with ANYTHING! And its driving me nuts! Sometimes I'm in a hurry and just want things done, but NO. Not on his watch. At least in this picture the underwear isn't inside out.(which happens a lot.) Just the other day Tyler noticed Tripp wasn't wearing any underwear under his jeans. First of all, OUCH!! Second of all, we had just went for a bike ride. Wouldn't that have hurt? And third, he went half the day without any underwear.  When we asked him about it, he ran off laughing... Oh the joys of having a boy!

TYLER WHO?

I know its way over due, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to blog. Well Tyler got home last week, and it has been amazing!!! I swear I slept for 3 days. I guess it finally caught up with me that I was tired. The kids could not have been happier! It brought tears to my eyes just seeing how happy they where. Tripp became Tyler's shadow, and would not leave his side.

While they waited for dad!
Of course we had to do something fun right away! Tripp has to wear his goggles, even though they are cheap and he can't even see out of them.
Dad got to get her off the bus! Her smile was from one ear to the other!
Passed out in the daycare at the gym! I love that kid!
She cracks me up!

And I don't have a picture to go with this, but Im 29 weeks now! My belly measures about 36, so yes I'm HUGE!! Just the other day I got on the scale to see the damage...(no one should ever do that!!!) And to my surprise the battery was dead! :) I'm sure thats probably a blessing.
