Big Old Sweats

I wanted to make something and didn't know what to do, so I dug through the never ending bucket of clothes and found these old sweats of Tyler's. They are huge!!

The sweats feel just like Tripp's blankets, they are so soft. So I thought he might like them, and he did! There is something so exciting about seeing your finished product. It was hard to get a good picture of them sorry, Tripp wouldn't hold still for a picture today! :) Oh and by the way, that basketball, he carries around with him all day, everyday!

CAMP OUT!

As some of you may know, Tyler took his last test yesterday!! WOOHOO! He is finally a 4th year! That is so exciting. Kassidy wanted to do something fun and she decided building forts and a camp out was what she wanted to do. So they had pop corn, and watched Hook the movie, Kassidy and Tripp had a blast! Tyler stayed on the floor till the kids fell asleep then he went to his bed lol!!! While we where trying to fall asleep Tripp was over in the corner shooting hoops in the dark! I swear that kid lives for basketball.

Kassidy's favorite movie at the time is Princess and the Frog. Yesterday she told me that she really wants to make Gumbo. Umm ok, never made it... Had no clue what it even was. I found a recipe and tonight we made it. I was just crossing my fingers that it was going to be good. Im here to tell that it was delicious, and I will be making it again. Kassidy had such a fun time which makes it 10 times better. And of course it wouldn't be complete without Tiana's yummy beignets. We had to lay down afterward cause we ate too much! I was excited, cause Kass asked for seconds... Which I don't think has ever happened in her life!

Tripp always loves watch and help Tyler with the all the man stuff. What boy doesn't like being just like their daddy right? I was in my room folding laundry,(Which is a never ending story!) and Tripp brings me the front tire to Kassidy's bike. WHAT?? I just looked at him. Are you serious Tripp?? How did you do that? He came asking for help, cause he wanted to put it back on.

Fun Recycling

I have been doing a ton of recycling lately I don't think I will ever throw out any clothes again! All my shirts have become skirts, shirts, or dresses for Kassidy. And Tyler's clothes have become Tripps! Its so much fun! Tripp loves it when I make something for him. And the best part is, I don't have to go out and buy fabric! I have some other things I wanted to upload, but forgot to get them off the camera. I'll have to put them on later.

This picture is a few years old. Its probably even the last time I wore that shirt too! :)

Cut here and cut there and..... Kassidy loves her new dress!! And it didn't cost me a dime. :) I might just give her all my clothes and then go get new outfits!

Fun in January

January was fun. The weather has been wonderful the past couple weeks. We have been able to go on walks outside. Kassidy is sad because we haven't been sledding yet this winter. Im ok with that though! :)

I have always wanted to try a Kumquat. I have heard that they are yummy. Im here to tell you that they were the nastiest fruit ever!!! Maybe I got a bad batch, I don't know. I won't ever get them again though!!!!

Potty Potty Potty Time!

Potty Training with Tripp

We just started potty training Mr.Tripp this week, and its actually been fun. He pretty much took the drivers seat with this one, which I was surprised by. I thought it was going to be a week of walking around with a bottle of carpet cleaner, but as soon as that diaper came off, he somehow new what to do! Maybe the worst is yet to come I don't know, but hey he does like to poop in the potty, so that to me is a big WIN! :) Tripp is excited that he gets a piece of candy every time he goes potty. He is however a little frightened of the AWAY FROM HOME POTTY, but when were home he knows what to do! :) I couldn't be more proud of that little boy! :)

Oh and yes, he was in a hurry to get to the potty so he was still eating his lunch.
