New and Improved

While the kids were sleeping, Tyler and I reupholstered Tripp's chair. And he loved it. It use to be Kassidy's chair, but somehow Tripp clammed it. He freaks out if Kassidy sits in it.
Kass loved it, and was a bit jealous, so when he took a nap she took over "THE CHAIR"

Stumpy the Snowman!

Snow that finally stuck! Kassidy has been wanting to play in the snow... but there hasn't been any! This morning we all went out and had a snowball fight. I wasn't sure how Tripp was going to react, because Kassidy didn't like the snow till she was 3, but he loved it!

Another Christmas has come and gone!

Christmas came and gone, and I always feel sad when Christmas is over... I might just leave my tree up till Tyler tells me to take it down. This year was the first time we were not surrounded by family. I did pretty good though. I kept my self very busy and tried not to think about it. Although, when I heard my dad was playing Santa thats when it hit me, I wanted to be there!!! I remember when I was little, my dad was Santa! (not that I knew it was him) Well here is a little preview of our Christmas, and my homemade gifts that were tons of fun to make!(and by the way, I got the ideas from others, cause there no way I could have just thought this stuff up!)

Our Little Family

Im always amazed at the amount of trash after christmas
Santa ate the cookies!!
Felt Truck (this was tons of fun to make!)
Santa gave the kids gloves, but didn't realize Tripp is a Lefty!!!
Magic Cape and accessories
Kass was so dead, Tripp pushed her over and she didn't move!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at the Kelly's:

First we started out with making one more last and final gingerbread house. Kassidy has made so many she has a small village!!!
Then Tyler wrapped his present... umm are you serious?? He ran out of one and just added another. Didn't understand that one. LOL!
After making over 200 christmas cookies this christmas season, I was ready to tap out. Then I received a message that Santa doesn't want store cookies, he wants momma's sugar cookies LOL! So one last batch was made today!
Finally after a long day of fun and excitement we had our hot chocolate and popcorn and watched The Polar Express! Such a good movie. Well they both passed out watching it!

Nativities

There was over 700 Nativity scenes to see. They were all amazing. We saw one small enough to fit inside a walnut shell.
Sweet Mary
The Angles
Tripp of course didn't want to dress up!

Sleepy Boy

Tripp must be growing cause that boy has been sleeping a ton. A few days ago he took a nape and slept almost 4 hours... And still went to bed early. Then yesterday I went to go put something away in my bedroom and as I was walking down the hall little Tripp was sleeping on the floor right next to his room. I guess he was on his way to bed and just couldn't make it! Poor thing!

Shirley Temple

Put Kassidy's hair in rags. It was so fun, she loved it! And when we took them out...

Take 5!

Kassidy made a gingerbread house, and had a blast doing it. All I wanted was a picture with her and her house. Wow... Sometimes its harder than it seems! Hope I'm not the only one that this happens too!

Old St.Nick

Last weekend we got to see Santa and the elves helped the kids make an old fashion toy. It was so fun! Kassidy made a train and Tripp made a boat. He loves his boat that has wheels(so to him, its a CAR!) Kass was so excited to see Santa, but what kid isn't? OH THAT WOULD BE TRIPP! He wanted nothing to do with Santa!

Running circles

How is it that my kids run circles all day long? Literally, they are just chasing each other around and around and around. For hours.. I mean I can't complain, they are entertained. But wouldn't that get old oh I don't know after 3 hours?
Watching them today made me realize how fast they really are growing up... Kassidy had her little cell phone and was not only talking on it, but texting... I walked in the living room and Tripp was over by the TV. Being the sneaky one that I am decided to see what he was going to do. He got a movie out of its case, opened the DVD player and put it in, then softly closed it. And waited for it to show up on the screen. What?? Gosh they really do pay attention to the little things!

Tis the Season

Yes its finally December! I love christmas time and all the joy that comes with it. For the past five years I have made a Christmas tree out of poster board... It's fun and super cheep, and after doing it for so many years it kinda felt like a tradition. Plus we have always been at grandmas for christmas, so I never really bothered with a tree... Well this year when I went to the store there was no poster board. And I thought since its our first christmas away from family we needed a tree! I told Kassidy that she could pick out a small one. I should have known which one she was going to pick! But how could I say no, she was so excited!! :)

THANK THE TURKEY!!!

I DID IT! MY FIRST TURKEY!!! :) Finally made my first turkey. Probably doesn't sound like that big of a deal... but to me its HUGE! I have always had this fear that something would go wrong. And had a dream that I put the turkey in the oven, but never turned it on. Lucky that didn't happen. The turkey was delicious! I had to give myself a high five for that one!! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! :)

There are so many things to be grateful for, and I loved hearing each day everything my little Kassidy was thankful for! November has come and almost gone. And its been wonderful! Can't wait for December!

OUR THANKFUL TREE:

I LOVE YOU KASSIDY! :)

If its brown it goes down!!!

On Saturday Tyler got his first deer with a bow! Pretty exciting time for him! He's a little upset that he hasn't got his buck yet, but this doe tasted delicious and made up for that.

Tripp kept pointing to the deer and saying things no one understands. Kass was playing hide and seek with anyone she could find, so she was never photographed.

And yes, I cut the leg off! It was surprisingly fun, and I learned a lot. Hopefully I can remember most of it for next time, because there will be a next time!!
