Kids say the darnedest things!

I need to write down the things my kids say, cause they crack me up! I wish I knew what was going on in that little head of theirs!

Well today I was trying out a mask I found on Pinterest...(is there any other way?) and Kassidy of course wants to join in on the fun. Well while we are waiting she asked what it was for. I told her it was for pimples. She said,"oh I don't need this mom I have none. But hopefully it works for you mom!" Thanks Kass. Then after we washed it off she mentions that it didn't work for me. She did however tell me I was still beautiful. :) love ya too Kassidy!

Living It Up!!

Today my husband is walking on water. Last night we submitted our places for residency, and today he found out he passed boards part 2! Needless to say he was feeling pretty good. He decided to go hunting. I thought he was crazy, cause it was freezing and snowing outside. But he needed to celebrate. Well he ended up getting his very first buck and was extremely excited about it. I'm so proud of you Tyler!!!

Hospitals... Blaaaa!

I'm ready to be done with hospitals! I hope my kids never go back! Its not fun having your little baby hooked up to all those machines. The hardest part was being strong and not to fall a part.
Jordyn had really bad retractions when she'd breath(scariest thing ever!) She kept choking and her eyes would get huge. It was defiantly terrifying. Especially because there was nothing I could do, but watch.
When we where at the hospital doctors would come check on her every 2-3 hours and there where always a few of them and they would come at different times. And in between those visits we had our nurse come in and check jordyn every hour and suction her nose out. (For some reason they never came at the same time.) It was exhausting. They had me really worried because they where there none stop and My poor little Jordyn got no rest. I never thought it would be a good thing to have your kid get less attention, but I have learned the less you see of them the better their doing!

This has been another experience that makes me more grateful for my wonderful kids. Jordyn being in the NICU at birth and then again for RSV helped look at things in new way. Even though sometimes, they might drive me crazy... Or keep me up at all hours of the night, I wouldn't trade them for anything! I have come to realize how much I need my kids more than they need me. They are my whole world!
The hard part about the hospital, is just never knowing how long your going to be there. When Jordyn was born 4 days turned into 7days. And then from RSV, she would get better, but then be right back where she was before. I just wanted to take her home and snuggle on the bed with her. But I was so grateful that she was there being taken care of.

Things happen for a reason, even though I have no clue what they are. I just have to make sure we are doing whats right and the rest will follow. I'm extremely grateful for our friends and their eagerness to help us out. It has made things so much easier.
On another note, Jordyn did have a doctor that could have been Will Ferrell twin! I was trying to be serious the whole time he was talking, but once he was out the door I couldn't stop laughing!

Can't help but Smile

My little Trippers
Every time Tripp smiles, I guarantee you will too! He is the sweetest & most polite kids you will ever meet. He says please and thank you for dang near everything. I love how he lights up and runs to the door to hug my legs when Tyler or I get home! He is obsessed with his cars. He must have at least 40 of them(I really have no clue, they just fill a bucket) and yet knows each and everyone. Tripp lays down on the ground with his cars and will be occupied for hours! He lines his cars up in a certain way, and Kassidy always moves one out of place, or rearranges them just to get him mad! :) He is also a big help and its so cute to watch him try to give the girls there bottle or whatever it is they need. He is however a space case sometimes. I asked him for a zip lock bag and he brings me the twins dirty laundry basket. Or I asked him for a diaper and he brings me a blanket. Not really sure what is going on in his mind, but he sure does crack me up!
This is Tyler's hunting blind... Yes he thought it was necessary to open it up in my living room... And yes it left mud everywhere! But Tripp loved it. He got his sleeping bag and his pillow and laid down to watch a movie. All in all, it was worth the mess. :)
This is a photo I just found from our ward Christmas party. He slept through the whole thing, on the ground under our table!
And now a little recap of... Me. I don't want to blame it on the twins, but they might need to take some of the credit. Have you ever forgot something? Well its been happening a lot to me lately. Hence the way over risen rolls. Luckily we where able to just use the dough and make fried bread. I might be losing my mind though. The other day I left groceries in my car for over 8 hours! Completely forgot about them!

Fashion Statement

If you are at our house there is a 99.9% chance that Tripp will not have pants on. Not really sure whats that all about. Maybe it just takes to much time to put everything back on and he just wants to play! But for whatever reason, just be grateful that he's wearing underwear, cause there is a chance that he might forget those too!!!!! Well the other day Tripp was doing the dishes for me. How sweet! Then I realized he wasn't wearing pants (of course) and he had 2 hats on.  You can't teach that! :)
His first official suit. What a STUD!

Then there is little miss Kassidy. It was Rainbow Day at school and this is what she wanted to wear. Whatever right? Pick your battles.
Kass likes to wear her hat backwards (from the movie The Sandlot) She also has a little crush on Benny, but who didn't? I know I did!
Thought it was hilarious that she was trying to fit in Tripp's carseat.
This is a just because picture! He looks so focused.

Daddy and his deer

Tyler didn't want me to post about his deer, because it wasn't his "BUCK" that he has been wanting all year. But hello Tyler, you got 2 deer! Thats freaking awesome! (even if he wont admit it.)
Showing off his muscles, and getting a little work out pulling them to the car
The best part was that Kassidy wanted to come and help skin them.
My first time skinning a deer and it was so fun! Of course I was retarded and wore my white tennis shoes. WHY???

Where Did December GO?

In a blink of an eye December came and gone! So much happened and I hate to admit that I was just too tired to post about it. Now I get to play catch up and I know I'll leave half of it out!

Famous Christmas Sugar Cookies!!! And everyone knows I LOVE me some sugar cookies!
I'm pretty sure Tripp dumped a whole bottle of sprinkles on a single cookie.

  The nativities in Kirtland

They think they are so cool

 Grandma Kelly
 Nana Haertling
Wouldn't be December without seeing Santa! Tripp was very excited to ask him for the skateboard he wanted!
 Gingerbread Train!
I went in to check on the kids, and neither of them where in their beds. I found Kassidy in my bed snugged up to daddy, so I put her in bed. Then I started looking for Tripp. I couldn't find him anywhere! Freaked me out for a bit. Finally I had to stop and feed Jordyn. After a little while I looked over and saw Tripp laying under Tyler's desk. If any of you know Tripp, he will sleep any and everywhere! Love that little boy! :)
