Fun Recycling

I have been doing a ton of recycling lately I don't think I will ever throw out any clothes again! All my shirts have become skirts, shirts, or dresses for Kassidy. And Tyler's clothes have become Tripps! Its so much fun! Tripp loves it when I make something for him. And the best part is, I don't have to go out and buy fabric! I have some other things I wanted to upload, but forgot to get them off the camera. I'll have to put them on later.

This picture is a few years old. Its probably even the last time I wore that shirt too! :)

Cut here and cut there and..... Kassidy loves her new dress!! And it didn't cost me a dime. :) I might just give her all my clothes and then go get new outfits!

Fun in January

January was fun. The weather has been wonderful the past couple weeks. We have been able to go on walks outside. Kassidy is sad because we haven't been sledding yet this winter. Im ok with that though! :)

I have always wanted to try a Kumquat. I have heard that they are yummy. Im here to tell you that they were the nastiest fruit ever!!! Maybe I got a bad batch, I don't know. I won't ever get them again though!!!!

Potty Potty Potty Time!

Potty Training with Tripp

We just started potty training Mr.Tripp this week, and its actually been fun. He pretty much took the drivers seat with this one, which I was surprised by. I thought it was going to be a week of walking around with a bottle of carpet cleaner, but as soon as that diaper came off, he somehow new what to do! Maybe the worst is yet to come I don't know, but hey he does like to poop in the potty, so that to me is a big WIN! :) Tripp is excited that he gets a piece of candy every time he goes potty. He is however a little frightened of the AWAY FROM HOME POTTY, but when were home he knows what to do! :) I couldn't be more proud of that little boy! :)

Oh and yes, he was in a hurry to get to the potty so he was still eating his lunch.

Playday

Today we went to the Science Museum with friends and had a blast. Tripp loved the iguana. Kassidy's favorite was the Boa. There was also a little room with a black light. She thought it was pretty cool the way anything white looked, she won't stop talking about. The kids played so hard that they were both passed out when we got home. Which by the way never happens. Its is very very very rare that both of them are asleep at the same time. And I knew if I carried them up stairs they would both wake up. So what did I do? I turned off the car, put my seat back and took a 20 min nap in our parking lot! :)

Well Tripp decided that I'm not Mom anymore, I'm Tess! What?? Its so hard not to laugh at that kid! He cracks me up. It all started when I wasn't paying 100% attention to him. "Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom. TESS! TESS! TESS! TESS!" And when I finally ask, "What is it Tripp?" His reply is.... "Hi mom." I just think thats hilarious!!!

A little Down

I had an old Down Comforter and I just felt terrible about throwing it out. And it seemed like a pretty easy task to repurpose it. Which it might have been if had I done it before and knew what was going to happen... I wish I had takin a picture!! But I was to determined to finish, and I just didn't think about it... Looking back oh how I wish I had! Worst idea I think I have ever had! There were feathers EVERYWHERE! The queen size comforter is now a twin for Kassidy's bed, and a huge king size pillow! Now that its been done, next time the process will be a whole lot different!!!

Raise Your Glass

Spent the evening with friends and had a blast! Love the holidays! The little ones watched a movie so that us big kids could play a game...

Made it home just in time to change into pajamas and have our cider! :)
